"Gulliver's Travels" will be the featured Friday drive-in movie on August 26 at Garden Spot Village.

The comedy/adventure/fantasy movie is a modern version of the Jonathan Swift classic.

Lemuel Gulliver played by Jack Black, is a newspaper mail clerk who takes on a travel writing assignment in Bermuda.  His adventure begins after his boat capsizes and he ends up on the strange island of Lilliput where he realizes that a person needs to be enormous inside, rather than outside, to actually make a difference to the world.

This is last in a series of summer Dove  Foundation "family approved" movies presented at Garden Spot Village sponsored by local businesses.  The Dove Foundation reviews movies based on traditional Judeo-Christian values and posts them online at www.dove.org

Movies are shown on a 40-foot-high screen and can be viewed from cars with sound via the car radio or outdoors sitting on a blanket or lawn chair. Over two acres of lawn is available for outdoor seating and parking for 80 cars.

The movie starts at dusk.  Admission is free. Refreshments can be purchased when the gate opens at 7 p.m. Donations to the Garden Spot Village Benevolent Fund will be accepted at the gate.

Rain date will be Friday, September 2. For more information, call 355-6000.  Garden Spot Village is located at 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland.
