Adam Yunginger and Cameron Gallagher helped lead Manheim Township's baseball team to the PIAA Class AAAA semifinals this spring.
Now, the Blue Streak stars and Division I-caliber tandem front a Lancaster-Lebanon League contingent that lists six players on the 2011 Pennsylvania High School Baseball Coaches Association (PHSBCA) All-State team.
The squad is divided into large (Class AAAA-AAA) and small (Class AA-A) schools. Gallagher, a catcher, and Yunginger, a first baseman, were named to the big-school first team along with Garden Spot infielder John Armbrust and Cedar Crest outfielder Derek Fisher.
For Gallagher and Fisher, both of whom were selected in the Major League Baseball Amateur Draft held in June, it is the second straight year they have been named to the all-state first team.
Hempfield pitcher Jordan Neff was named to the second team.
Lancaster Mennonite catcher Chris Mattison, the L-L coaches' choice as the league's catcher of the year, was named to the small-school second team.
Mattison and Armbrust, juniors both, are the only two underclassmen among the L-L contingent.
"When you're recognizing kids who are deserving, the L-L League is going to be recognized," said Blue Streaks coach Bill Sassaman, who is in his sixth year as president of the PHSBCA.
Gallagher, drafted 65th overall by the Kansas City Royals, and Yunginger, who owns a partial scholarship to Division I Monmouth (N.J.), helped the Streaks to an 18-8 finish and their first trip to the state semis since 2006.
Township finished as runner-up in the District Three bracket, earning the program its fourth silver medal in district play.
Yunginger and Gallagher topped the Blue Streak offense in most categories. Yunginger led Township with a .515 batting average that was third-highest in team history, seven home runs and 31 RBIs.
Gallagher followed at .403, with four homers and 22 RBIs. He scored a team-high 35 runs.
"In terms of Adam and Cameron, I really feel blessed to have two guys of their overall ability," Sassaman said.
"Adam, I thought, had just an incredible year. He was at his best when the stakes were highest.
"Cameron's numbers this year, quite frankly, didn't match last year's. I was really glad to see him make (the all-state team) and by such a big margin, almost unanimous. Obviously, with his overall performance, he's very deserving."
Armbrust hit .488 with two homers and 14 RBIs. Fisher batted .472 with a league-best nine homers. He drove in 21 runs.
Neff, the lone L-L pitcher honored, went 4-1 with a 0.48 earned run average.
Mattison led the L-L's All-League team with a .577 average. He had five homers and 18 RBIs.
