A mix of personal and professional reasons has brought a Carbon County landscaping business to Lancaster County.

Owner Everett Warren has moved Green Man Enviroscaping from Lehighton to 47 Donegal Springs Road in Mount Joy.

The nearly 5-year-old business creates ecologically healthy landscapes for residential, nonprofit and commercial customers.

Warren said he shifted his firm here because the county has more home construction — a key market — than Carbon County.

He also wanted to be closer to his fiancée, who lives in the Donegal Springs Road home, where Warren has moved as well.

Green Man Enviroscaping, with five seasonal workers plus several on-call employees, describes itself as a full-service landscape company.

It offers landscape design, installation and maintenance services including lawn mowing, overseeding, application of all-natural fertilizer, mulching, brush cutting and tree services.

"Since we use an environmentally friendly approach, we use native plants in landscaping and natural fertilizers rather than synthetic chemicals," Warren said.

Green Man also offers so-called hardscaping services such as pressure-washing decks and patios, gravel driveway maintenance and plowing of driveways and parking lots.
