Twenty-three storage units at a Clay Township storage facility were burglarized early Wednesday morning, police said.

Various personal items were taken from the units at Lincoln West Self Storage, 1737 W. Main St., Ephrata, between midnight and 6 a.m., township police Chief William Leighty said.

Police do not know if more than one burglar is responsible, he said.

Dollar estimates of the loss and damage were not available Thursday because police had not been able to contact some of the renters because they were on vacation, Leighty said.

Police ask anyone with information to call them at 733-0965. Tipsters also may call Lancaster City/County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-322-1913.
