Thieves broke into vehicles parked at businesses along Route 30 East in East Lampeter Township Friday and Sunday, stealing a GPS unit, a laptop computer, an iPod, a purse and cash, police said.

East Lampeter Township police said two vehicles parked at Tanger Outlets were targeted. One was broken into Friday night, and the thief took a purse containing credit cards, cash and an iPod Touch. The person used the credit cards to make purchases in Lancaster afterward.

The other vehicle break-in at Tanger took place Sunday afternoon, according to police. The thief took a $350 Compaq laptop computer.

Yet another vehicle break-in took place Friday night at the Quality Inn, 2250 Lincoln Highway East. A Tom Tom GPS unit, worth $200, was taken, police said.
