DUI
EPHRATA TWP.: Adam Mutzabaugh, 23, of Ephrata, arrested at 2:15 a.m. Friday on North Reading Road after being involved in a hit-and-run crash, state police at Ephrata said. Police said Mutzabaugh struck a curb and a mailbox, disabling his 1994 Jeep Cherokee. Mutzabaugh was arrested while attempting to flee "in a vehicle leaving the scene," said police, who cited him for DUI and other traffic offenses. He also was in possession of a small amount of marijuana, according to police.
RAPHO TWP.: Arthur Arnold, 62, of Hershey, was charged after being stopped for traffic violations early Friday morning on Route 283 at Route 230, state police at Ephrata said.
BURGLARIES
EDEN TWP.: An 18-inch chainsaw, a cordless four-piece power set, a two-gallon air compressor, pallet forks and several metal fence posts were stolen during a burglary in the first block of Stone Road, state police at Lancaster said. The burglary occurred between March 1 and this past Thursday, police said.
STRASBURG TWP.: Someone attempted to break into a shed to the rear of the Francis Pugliesi residence in the 500 block of Brenneman Road, state police said. No items were taken. The attempted break-in occurred sometime Wednesday evening, and the investigation is continuing. Anyone with information can call state police at 299-7650.
THEFTS
STRASBURG TWP.: Someone used the bank card of a Sides Mill Road woman to make several online purchases, in the amount of $249.89, at three different online sites. The purchases were made between May 13 and this past Tuesday, Lancaster state police said.
CRIMINAL MISCHIEF
PROVIDENCE TWP.: Someone used a cutting tool to damage several items owned by Melissa Barrow of New Providence, Lancaster state police said. The incident occurred sometime Wednesday night or Thursday morning. Anyone with information can call Lancaster state police at 299-7650.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
MARIETTA: Brandon Mallin, 19, was cited after creating a disturbance in his apartment in the first block of West Market Street, Susquehanna Regional police reported. The incident occurred around 3 a.m. Friday.
MARIETTA: Braxton Lee Kramer, 20, of the 500 block of East Front Street, was cited for disorderly conduct after creating a disturbance with tenants of an apartment building, police said. It happened around 4:30 Thursday morning.
THEFTS
MANHEIM TWP.: Jennifer Arocha told police someone took two patio chairs and a table from her back yard sometime during the day Thursday, township police said. The items are worth some $125.
LANCASTER TWP.: A 17-year-old Lancaster Township youth was cited after he tried to steal a pack of condoms and ear buds valued at $29 from the Weis store at Manor Shopping Center at 7 p.m. Thursday.
MANHEIM TWP.: Someone entered three unlocked vehicles in the driveway of Mark Stanavage Wednesday night or Thursday morning and took about $20 in loose change, township police said. The theft occurred in the 1800 block of North Eden Road.
LANCASTER TWP.: Someone stole a GPS unit from a vehicle belonging to Kathy Lee of the 1600 block of Judie Lane Wednesday night or Thursday morning, Manheim Township police said. Total loss is around $300, police said.
LANCASTER TWP.: Two young women were cited for retail theft after trying to leave the Giant grocery store on Columbia Avenue without paying for several items, Manheim Township police said. Cited were Kate Grosh, 20, and a 17-year-old female. The items were valued at $96, and the incident occured just after 10 p.m. Wednesday, police said.
