Police have arrested a man they say robbed an Ephrata convenience store at gunpoint.
Beral Jason Ramos, 36, of the 200 block of Duke Street, Ephrata, displayed a handgun and demanded cash from a clerk at the Sunoco A-Plus at 529 W. Main St., Ephrata police said. The robbery happened on Aug. 28 at 1:07 a.m.
No one was injured in the robbery, police said.
Ramos was in the store earlier that night and had used an ATM machine in the store, police said.
Police located the gun allegedly used by Ramos in the robbery at his home, police said. It was a BB gun that Ramos had altered to make it appear to be an actual handgun.
Ramos was charged with robbery and was committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.
