An 18-year-old has been charged with burglarizing the same East Petersburg home twice in July.

Drew R. Eckert, formerly of Wheatland Avenue, forced open a door of the home in the 2000 block of Linden Street and took game systems in the first alleged burglary, Manheim Township police said. Loss was $757.

The second time, Eckert entered the home through a window and took CDs and a blank check, police said. Loss was $480.

The check was forged and cashed on July 26, police said.

Eckert was charged with two counts of burglary, two counts of theft, forgery and criminal conspiracy, police said. He was charged before District Judge David Brian and sent to Lancaster County Prison.

A 17-year-old Lancaster girl also has been charged before juvenile authorities with forgery and criminal conspiracy in connection with the check, police said.
