An armed robber struck a gas station in Ephrata early Saturday.
The incident happened at Sunoco A-Plus, 529 W. Main St., at 1:07 a.m., Ephrata police said.
A masked, heavy-set Hispanic or light-skinned black man, 5 feet 8 to 5 feet 10 inches tall, displayed a handgun and demanded cash from the clerk, police said. He got an undisclosed amount of money and fled from the parking lot on foot.
No one was injured, police said.
Police ask witnesses to call them at 738-9200.
BURGLARY
LANCASTER TWP.: Police are looking for burglars who struck a video store on Saturday.
A burglar alarm sounded at 5:45 a.m. at Majic Rent To Own, 1368 Columbia Ave., a county dispatcher said.
Manheim Township police found a window had been smashed.
A video surveillance tape showed three burglars putting items in the back of a red Ford truck that had a cap, the dispatcher said.
LANCASTER: Nearly $5,000 worth of electronics and winter coats were stolen from a home in the 100 block of Prospect Street during the day on Friday, police said. Police are looking for a Hispanic male, 15 to 20 years old, with a medium build and height, who was not wearing a shirt, in connection with the burglary. About $500 damage was caused to the home.
PARADISE TWP.: Two 100-foot sections of copper welding lead from a portable welder were taken on McIlvaine Lane between Aug. 21 and Monday. Police ask anyone with information to call 299-7650.
LEACOCK TWP.: Burglars were interrupted while trying to steal solar batteries from Advanced Solar Industries, 3530 W. Newport Road, July 25. They fled in a blue Ford truck. Police ask anyone with information to call 299-7650.
EAST LAMPETER TWP.: The front doors of the Bose Factory Store, Suite 806, 35 S. Willowdale Drive, were smashed open in an apparent burglary attempt at 3:30 a.m. Saturday, East Lampeter Township police said. Police arrived four minutes after being dispatched and the suspects were gone, leaving $500 worth of damage. No merchandise appeared to be missing.
RETAIL THEFT
LANCASTER: Dillon Johns, 18, of the 600 block of Pearl Street, Lancaster, was charged with retail theft at 2:40 p.m. Saturday, Ephrata police said. Johns was seen unpacking store merchandise and putting it in his pocket by an employee of Kmart, 1127 S. State St., Ephrata, police said.

EPHRATA TWP.: A stand holder at the Green Dragon Market who sells cell phone accessories said between 2:30 and 3 p.m. Friday his cell phone was stolen at his stand while it was left unattended, police said. Loss is $500.

EAST LAMPETER TWP.: A $450 cell phone was stolen from behind the counter while the clerks were distracted at the Sprint Store, 2405 Covered Bridge Road, on Thursday, police said.
ASSAULT
WEST HEMPFIELD TWP.: Jose E. Lopez, 25, of Columbia, was charged with simple assault, disorderly conduct and driving while under suspension following an altercation with another motorist Aug. 12 at Oswego Drive and Route 462. The other motorist, Michael A. Wigman, 39, of Columbia, was charged with disorderly conduct, police said.
TRAFFIC ACCIDENT
EAST LAMPETER TWP.: Jerrold R. Kendig, 70, of Lancaster, lost control of his vehicle while exiting from Route 30 onto Walnut Street Thursday, police said. The vehicle struck the center median, crossed the westbound lane and hit a dirt embankment. It then recrossed the westbound lane and median and came to rest in the eastbound lane. He was transported to Lancaster General Hospital with minor injuries, police said.
WEST HEMPFIELD TWP.: A two-vehicle crash was reported at 12:42 p.m. Saturday at Marietta Avenue and Stony Battery Road. Police had no further information Saturday night.
HARASSMENT
LANCASTER: Hector Collazo-Medina, 38, of the 900 block of East King Street, was charged after police said he grabbed a woman's arm and pushed and pulled her during a domestic dispute Thursday.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT
EPHRATA: A 17-year-old Ephrata girl, was cited while walking on a sidewalk in the 100 block of Church Street on Friday, police said. Police accused her of engaging in a verbal dispute with several residents sitting on their porches, yelling obscenities and then exposing her buttocks as she was walking away.
•April Angela Steffish, 39, of the 2600 block of Donough Drive, was cited twice Saturday, state police at Ephrata said. Troopers accused Steffish of yelling obscenities at a neighbor when he stepped outside his door at 8:45 a.m.
At 11:17 a.m., police returned to the 2200 block of Donough Drive where Steffish was standing on the curb yelling obscenities again, police said.
EAST LAMPETER TWP: Juan Torres, 23, of the 400 block of Rockland Drive, Lancaster, was cited Saturday, police said. Police accused him of causing a disturbance by yelling obscenities at an employee of the Goodwill store, 2353 Lincoln Highway East, at 4:20 p.m.

EAST LAMPETER TWP.: Renee Byers, 24, of Lancaster, was charged Thursday on Route 30 near Route 340.
CRIMINAL TRESPASS
LANCASTER: Edwin J. Costigan, 41, and Joseph P. Sheesley, 55, both of 210 S. Prince St., and Daniel P. Taylor, 52, who is homeless, were charged at the Lancaster Cemetery, 205 E. Lemon St., Wednesday night, police said. They remained at the cemetery after being told to leave.
They were also charged with having open containers of alcoholic beverages.
PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS
LANCASTER: Anthony Francis, 32, of Ephrata, was charged in the first block of North Duke Street at 12:30 a.m. Saturday, police said.
•Lauren Elizabeth Summers, 32, of the 600 block of Richmond Drive, was charged in the first block of East Walnut Street at 3:30 a.m. Saturday, police said.
•Nilsa Rivera-Garcia, 31, of the 700 block of South Plum Street, was charged with public drunkenness and disorderly conduct in the 500 block of Pershing Avenue at 3:30 a.m. Saturday, police said. Police accused her of cursing at police and annoying 10 residents.
•Jarrod Paul Watterson, 23, of the 800 block of North Queen Street, was charged in the first block of East Clay Street Friday at 11:30 p.m., police said.
EPHRATA: Edward Edkin, 53, of Ephrata, was charged in the first block of South State Street at about 6:30 p.m. Friday, police said.

SALISBURY TWP.: A 16-year-old boy was charged by police after he allegedly threw a bottle of water from a moving car on Hoover Road on Aug. 19, damaging the windshield of another car moving in the opposite direction.
VANDALISM
LANCASTER: Three tires were punctured on a vehicle at Park City Center Wednesday. Damage was $200.
•A door was scratched on a vehicle in the 1000 block of Wabank Road Wednesday. Damage was $100.
RAPHO TWP.: Two lawn statues in the first block of Crystal Drive were broken between 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. Thursday, police said.
WARRANTS
LANCASTER: Michael Antonio Goyco, 32, of the 100 block of East King Street, was arrested on a bench warrant in the 300 block of North Christian Street early Saturday, police said. He was also charged with resisting arrest, public drunkenness and disorderly conduct.
•Abraham Falu, 31, of the 500 block of Second Street, was arrested in the 100 block of North Lime Street early Saturday on a warrant related to a simple assault charge, police said. He was sent to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail.
•Miriam E. Montoya, 47, of the 300 block of North Mulberry Street, was arrested on a warrant early Saturday in the 500 block of Pershing Avenue, police said. She was also charged with disorderly conduct. Montoya was sent to county prison in lieu of $436 bail.
•Gregory Tyler Tshudy, 20, of the 200 block of West Lemon Street, was arrested on a warrant through East Lampeter Township police in the first block of West New Street Friday night, police said. He was sent to county prison in lieu of $1,000 bail.
WARWICK TWP.: Francis Leroy Plante, 42, of the 2000 block of Main Street in Rothsville, was recently arrested at his home on a bench warrant after allegedly not attending a preliminary hearing related to corruption of minors charges, police said. He was sent to county prison in lieu of $10,000 bail.
COUNTERFEIT
CLAY TOWNSHIP: A counterfeit $10 bill was passed at Sharp Shopper, 1100 Sharp Avenue, between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m. Friday, state police at Ephrata said.
