A Clay Township man faces sex assault charges related to alleged incidents involving three boys between the ages of 10 and 16.
James F. Ward, 76, of the 1700 block of Kleinfeltersville Road, Clay Township, was arrested by township police on Monday.
According to police, he was charged with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, indecent assault of a person less than 13 years old, two counts of indecent assault with a person less than 16 years of age and three counts of corruption of minors, police said.
Ward knew the boys and the incidents occurred at his home over several years, police said. The boys disclosed the information during a counseling session.
Ward was arraigned before District Judge Jene Willwerth and committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail.
Ward could spend a maximum of more than 22 years in prison if he is convicted on all the charges, police said.
