The interchange ramps off Route 222 at Route 772 in Brownstown will be closed Wednesday night for construction work.

The off-ramp from northbound Route 222 to Route 772 and the northbound on-ramp from Route 772 to northbound Route 222 will be closed. Motorists will be detoured to the next interchange and then directed back to the original interchange from the opposite direction.

The ramps will be closed from 8:30 p.m. to 5:30 a.m.

Additional ramp closures are expected to occur next week.

The work is part of the $11.6 million resurfacing of eight miles of Route 222 between Bushong Road in Manheim Township and Mohlers Church Road in Ephrata Township. The work, being done by Reading Materials of Skippack on behalf of PennDOT, resumed in March. The entire project is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
