Firefighters worked to extinguish a two-alarm blaze that destroyed a barn Thursday evening in Clay Township.

The fire, at 2050 W. Main St. (Route 322), was reported just before 5:30 p.m.

Fire units first to arrive reported to county dispatchers that heavy smoke was visible from the structure, and they requested additional units. About eight companies responded, including a unit from Lebanon County.

No other information was available late Thursday.
