Tractor trailer jackknifes on Route 30

A tractor trailer truck, driven by Edward G. Owens, 55, of Severn, Md., jackknifed on a rain-slicked Route 30 West at 11:34 a.m. Wednesday.

The truck, owned by Houff Transfer Inc., Weyers Cave, Va., was empty when it began to slide across the westbound lanes, striking the median barrier just west of the Harrisburg Pike interchange.

Traffic was reduced to one lane.

There were no injuries.
