Three-year-old Saiberry is a well-mannered, loyal dog who loves to play ball.

An Australian cattle dog mix, Saiberry was brought to the shelter when her owners could no longer care for her. She knows basic obedience commands, enjoys walking on a leash, and is housebroken. You may find Saiberry to be a bit shy at first, but spend some time getting to know her and you will soon feel a wet nose gently nudging your hand, asking for attention, asking for you to take her home.

Saiberry is available for adoption at the Humane League of Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Highway East. Many of our available animals can also be viewed online at humaneleague.com. Shelter hours are 3-8 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, and noon-5 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The shelter is closed Wednesday. Call the league at 393-6551.    

From June 29 to July 6 the league received 53 dogs and 123 cats. Twenty-seven dogs and 41 cats were adopted; nine stray dogs were reclaimed by their owners.  Two cats were transferred to other rescue organizations. Previously featured cat, Oscar, has been adopted.
