Starting next Sunday (June 13), you'll notice a slight change in the organization of your Sunday News.

Put down the pitchforks (phones or laptops).

Nothing is being taken out of the paper. TV Week is untouched.

Instead, the Perspective section and Business sections will be combined.

The front of the section will be Perspective, with four pages, and the last six pages of the section will be Business.

Travel, which has been at the back of Perspective, will move to the Lifestyle section.

That's the big change on the news side.

On the advertising side, the Employment and Automotive Weekly sections will be merged into one section. Like the present car section, this section will be a tabloid. The front of the section will be split between Cars and Jobs, the section's new names, with the car ads lining up toward the front, followed by the job ads.

Auction reports, The New York Times crossword puzzle and Jumble remain in the section.

So we're just moving the furniture for the fun of it?

The big reason is to save money. Presently, the Sunday News is printed in three parts: Lifestyle, Real Estate and TV Week on Friday morning; Employment and either Perspective or Entertainment Saturday morning; and what we call the main run — A section, Lancaster, Sports, Business, Perspective or Entertainment, and Automotive Weekly early Sunday morning.

We no longer will have that Saturday morning run, which is where the savings come in. With the new classified section, we'll also save some space that used to be filled with our own promotional ads when the sections came up short on paid ads.

Why put Perspective and Business in one section?

As I've written before, the main run of the Sunday News is a balancing act. We need an even number of sections, but found ourselves with seven when we decided to do away with the one press run. Putting Perspective and Business together gives us six, the even number we needed.

We hope there aren't too many disagreements when one member of the family wants Perspective and the other wants to read Business.

The big plus for readers is that both Entertainment and Perspective are now in the main run. One was always printed Friday night. When Perspective was in the pre-run, we always were concerned that events Saturday could overtake what was already printed. If Entertainment was printed early, some reviews didn't make it there.

We are relettering some of the sections, which will bring our lineup closer to being in alphabetical order, but not quite.

But you can be sure we do know our A, B ... D's.

Family ties

In last Sunday's column, I noted that Mark Harmon, star of TV's "NCIS" was the brother-in-law of Rick Nelson. The singer was married to Harmon's sister, Kris. Charlie Norton, of Lancaster, e-mailed to add that Mark Harmon's other brother-in-law for a time was John DeLorean, of Pontiac GTO and DeLorean car fame and drug-deal-gone-bad infamy. He was married to Harmon's other sister, Kelly.

My own sweet time

Daughter Abigail is the one who keeps me up on new electronic things and "social media." The 14-year-old isn't always patient.

"You are a little slow to pick things up," she said with pity in her voice.

Slow? I'm "methodical."
