New Hope Community Closet moved last month to a new spot in the Townsedge Village Shopping Center in Quarryville that doubles the thrift store's space.

At roughly 3,700 square feet, the new store at 128 Townsedge Drive has more area for clothing racks and household items and more room for silent auctions. The store now also carries handmade gifts, including greeting cards.

The thrift store, which benefits New Hope Community Life Ministry, previously had been at a smaller space at 136 Townsedge Drive. The new store opened in the beginning of April. It takes a spot formerly occupied by Heavenly Collectibles.

Hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Cabinets on the go

Just Cabinets, Furniture & More will open Thursday in a new space in the Golden Triangle Shopping Center.

The roughly 17,000-square-foot store is about twice the size of its store at 10 Eisenhower Blvd. The new store at 1276 Lititz Pike has more area for bedrooms, dining sets, media storage and other furniture.

The store on Eisenhower Boulevard was one of the original stores for the cabinet, furniture and electronics retailer which now has 20 stores, mostly in Pennsylvania.

Hours: 9:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday.

Restaurant to move

Sukhothai Restaurant is planning a move from Mountville to Lancaster, with a scheduled opening sometime in June in the Champion Forge Center, 398 Harrisburg Pike. Construction is under way to ready the space next to Rosa Rosa Ristorante Italiano for Sukhothai.

The Thai restaurant's menu, which features soups and salads as well as noodle, seafood and curry dishes, will remain the same, a manager said. The move is being made because of greater visibility at the new spot, he said.

Sukhothai opened in 2005 at the Village Shopping Center, 145 Oakdale Drive, Mountville.

Dutch-Way renovation

In June, the Dutch-Way store and restaurant in Gap plans to complete a renovation that has enlarged its grocery store and restaurant. The completion of a new carport will mark the end of the expansion of the Dutch-Way complex at 365 Route 41 into next-door space formerly occupied by a hardware store.

In November, Dutch Way Family Restaurant grew from a restaurant with room for 100 to a 275-seat restaurant with a buffet. And the grocery store was expanded by roughly 5,000 square feet to 40,000 square feet, adding more room for several areas, including dairy and meat departments. Only exterior improvements are yet to be done, according to Jeff Snader, one of the owners.

Dutch-Way also has locations in Schaefferstown and Myerstown.
