A Manheim Township business owner wasn't able to stop the burglar he found hiding in a closet Sunday afternoon.
But police said the businessman did manage to take a picture of the thief as the thief fled the scene.
Around 3:40 p.m., police said, the owner of Meteor Tower Films went into his business on Elizabeth Avenue and found a man hiding in a closet.
The intruder fled on foot, stealing a $1,500 camera.
As he left, police said, the quick-thinking business owner snapped the thief's picture.
Police were not sure how the thief was able to get inside the business.
The suspect was described by police as a white male, between 40 and 50 years old, and unshaven.
He was last seen wearing white shoes, blue jeans, a denim jacket and a gray sweatshirt, police said. He also was carrying a backpack.
Anyone with information is asked to call Manheim Township police at 569-6401. Callers wishing to remain anonymous may call the township's tip line at 569-2816.
In a separate incident, state police are investigating a burglary in Fulton Township over the weekend.
