Turner helps Scranton boys topple Warwick
Scores 30 points in Knights' 64-48 Quad-A win over Warriors

Warwick's boys' basketball team kept it close in the first half, but Scranton was able to get its up-tempo offense on track after the intermission en route to a 64-48 victory in the first round of the Class AAAA PIAA tournament Saturday at Marywood University in Scranton.

Nursing a 25-20 halftime lead, the District Two champion Knights (21-6) outscored Warwick 19-10 in the third quarter to pull away. Terry Turner, Scranton's sophomore scoring sensation, poured in 30 points and grabbed 12 rebounds.

Hector Cruz led Warwick (17-11) with 13 points, and Deron Thompson added 10. Hasin Dixon and Tim Fisch scored 12 and 10, respectively, for Scranton, which advances to play Pennsbury, 47-33 victors over Wilson, in the second round.
