It's do-or-die time for six Lancaster-Lebanon League teams. No more consolation games. From now on, if you lose, you're done.

The PIAA playoffs open with first-round games on Friday and Saturday. The L-L League has three teams (Hempfield, Warwick and Penn Manor) competing in the Class AAAA bracket, one team (Lancaster Catholic) in Class AAA, one in Class AA (Lancaster Mennonite) and one in Class A (Lebanon Catholic).

Lancaster Catholic and Lebanon Catholic will get underway Friday night. The Crusaders take on Pottsgrove at 8 p.m. in Hersheypark Arena (click here for the live blog by Keith Schweigert), while the Beavers travel to Central Cambria High School to face Homer-Center.

On Saturday, Keith Schweigert will blog live from Hersheypark Arena, where Hempfield and Lancaster Mennonite will be in action. Mennonite faces Devon Prep at 2:30 p.m., while Hempfield takes on Nazareth at 7 p.m.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Penn Manor faces defending state champion Penn Wood at 3:30 p.m. at Norristown High School, while Warwick travels to Marywood University to take on Scranton at 4:30.

Keith Schweigert takes a look at all the first-round matchups and offers some other state-playoff tidbits in his boys basketball blog, Court Report.
