POSH, a dress store, relocated last month to 820 First St. in the Slaymaker Building.

It features bridal gowns as well as evening, debutante, graduation and special occasion dress and accessories.

POSH is owned by designer Janell Berté, who moved her operation from 248 E. Liberty St., where she had been for 15 years.

The new workroom and retail shop is in a 4,200-square-foot space in the Slaymaker Building.

Hours: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday by appointment.

Market opening

The Amish Farmers Market at Meadowbrook is slated to open Thursday at the Shops at Meadowbrook, along Route 23 in Leola.

The market, in Suites 220 and 230 at 345 W. Main St., will have space for 24 stand holders as well as room for 50 to 75 outside, when weather permits.

Offerings in the market will include meats, seafood, produce, bread, nuts, dried foods, coffee and dairy products. There will also be ready-to-eat items.

Hours: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Bookstore moves

Berean Christian Stores opened Jan. 21 in the former Tweeter space at 898 Plaza Blvd., near Park City Center.

The store, formerly Provident Bookstores, relocated from its longtime spot in Lancaster Shopping Center because the Giant supermarket there intends to expand into its space.

Berean Christian Stores sell Christian books, Bibles, music, jewelry and cards as well as church supplies and curriculum.

The Cincinnati-based retail chain has 26 U.S. stores, including one in New Holland.

The Berean store on Plaza Boulevard measures roughly 12,500 square feet, about the same size as the old one.

Hours: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Restaurant renovates

Hershey Farm Restaurant & Inn, along Route 896 north of Strasburg, will be reopening its smorgasbord Friday after a six-week renovation.

The project added new food areas, including a grill area and dessert station, and changed the layout of the serving line.

The restaurant and smorgasbord serves breakfast, lunch and dinner and has seating for more than 600.

Hershey Farm Restaurant & Inn also has plans for a major expansion that will add more hotel rooms, more banquet space, a gift shop and an indoor pool.

Salon opens

Shear Magic Salon and Day Spa opened last week at 63 S. Main St., Manheim. The salon offers haircuts, coloring, highlights, manicures, pedicures and tanning.

In addition to the salon area, there's a relaxation room for massages. Owners are Teresa Detz and Kari Ginder.
