A winter storm warning in effect for today and Saturday, and expected to result in significant snowfall has caused several changes in the Lancaster-Lebanon League sports schedule.
In boys' basketball today, the Pequea Valley at Lancaster Catholic game has been moved to 4 p.m. The junior varsity and freshman games have been canceled.
Cedar Crest at Warwick varsity will start at 5:30 p.m. JV will tip off at 4.
Annville-Cleona at Columbia has been postponed until next Thursday at 8 p.m..
Manheim Central at Cocalico varsity has been moved up to 4 p.m.
In girls' basketball today, the Warwick at Cedar Crest game has been switched to a 5:30 p.m. start, with the JV at 4.
Cocalico at Manheim Central will play at 4 p.m.
Columbia at Annville-Cleona has been postponed until next Friday at 7:30 p.m.
According to Elizabethtown athletic director Shane Piper, the Elizabethtown at Ephrata boys' game and the Ephrata at Elizabethtown girls' game would both begin at 4 p.m. today if the two schools could find officials, with the junior varsity and junior high games being canceled. But that decision wouldn't officially be made until today, Piper said.
In wrestling, the Pequea Valley Tournament scheduled for Saturday is postponed. A make-up date will be announced.
The remainder of the L-L sports schedule will be determined today pending the weather forecast. For a complete list, check the Sports Slate on Page C5.
Because the L-L already has basketball games scheduled for next Monday and Wednesday, games postponed today would, according to several coaches, be rescheduled for Tuesday.
