Two people were killed in separate traffic accidents Sunday morning in East Cocalico Township.

A 19-year-old Denver woman died after her vehicle struck another car head-on shortly before 4 a.m. on Route 222, police said. Two occupants of the other vehicle were injured and transported to area hospitals.

Shortly after 8:30 a.m., an 80-year-old Sinking Springs man lost control of his vehicle in the 500 block of North Ridge Road and struck a tree. He was taken to Reading Hospital where he later died from his injuries.
