A 14-year-old city boy was robbed on his way home from school on Tuesday, police said.

Two robbers approached the boy from behind while he was walking west along Green Street, near Ann Street, police said. It was about 3:30 p.m.

One of the two robbers grabbed the boy's cell phone from his hand and said, "What else have you got?" police said.

The robber then lifted his sweatshirt and showed the boy he had a handgun in his waistband, police said. The boy put his hands up, and the second robber went through his backpack.

The robbers stole two cell phones and an iPod, together valued at $440, and then fled south on Plum Street, according to police. The boy then ran home to report the robbery. No one was hurt.

Police did not report a detailed description of the robbers, who wore hooded sweatshirts, police said. They said one of the suspects might be 19 or 20 years old and the other 15 to 17 years old.
