TO THE EDITORS:

Regarding the Oct. 12 newspaper and the girl nabbed for throwing gum at an officer: Did she do this on purpose, or, like 99.9 percent of teenagers, did she just spit out her gum?

With overweight tractor-trailers, speeding motorists, drug dealers on corners, etc., I'm relieved that the state trooper hunted down Manheim Township's notorious gum-spitter.

Give me a break!
