"Hi! I am Daisy, a 2-year-old Labrador retriever/pit bull mix. I am a very loving and sweet girl.

"I was adopted from the Humane League and brought back because the more comfortable I got in my new home, the more playful and rough I accidentally became with the little dog that already lived there. I didn't mean to scare him. I just love to play!

"I love to play fetch and tug of war, and I like to go swimming in the summer. I know sit, shake with both paws, and I am working on learning down and stay. I love sitting on your lap and snuggling with you. I love my walks every day and would love to have you be my new walking partner. Please come visit me soon and maybe we can go home together!"

Pet of the Week: Daisy

Daisy is available for adoption at the Humane League of Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Highway East. Many of our available animals can also be viewed online at humaneleague.com/home.htm. Regular shelter hours are noon-6 p.m. Monday; noon-7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; noon-5 p.m. Friday; and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The shelter is closed Wednesday. From Oct. 20-26, the league received 45 dogs and 126 cats. Twenty dogs and 45 cats were adopted; 13 stray dogs were reclaimed. Four dogs and eight cats were transferred to other rescue organizations.
