The price is right for what the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce & Industry is billing as its "Biz Buzz," a "one-stop-shop" business expo featuring more than 200 booths in Freedom Hall, the main exhibition area at the Lancaster County Convention Center, 3 E. Vine St.

A single business card will gain admission to the buzzing hall 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 22.

No business card? No problem, but it will cost you $10.

The buzz will include displays of the latest products, services and technologies for businesses, along with information about such diverse topics as energy deregulation, printer technology and security systems.

A map showing the layout of booths and a list of exhibitors is available at lancasterchamber.com/expo2009.

Registrations for three special programs in association with the expo can also be made on the Web site.

The first is the Preview Mixer, 5-7 p.m. Wednesday in Freedom Hall, with appetizers, beer, wine and nonalcoholic beverages. Cost is $20 for members, $40 for nonmembers.

The second is the Legislative Issues Forum, with breakfast, 7:15-9 a.m. Thursday in the convention center's Commonwealth Ballroom.

A panel discussion on such issues as the state budget, business tax reform and transportation infrastructure will feature state Sens. Mike Brubaker, Lloyd Smucker and Mike Folmer, and Reps. Bryan Cutler, Scott Boyd, Dave Hickernell, John Bear, Gordon Denlinger, Tom Creighton and Mike Sturla. Cost is $25 for members, $35 for nonmembers.

And third is the Business Leaders' Forum, featuring Charles Pizzi, president and CEO of Philadelphia-based Tasty Baking Co., 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Thursday, lunch included, also in the Commonwealth Ballroom,

Pizzi will describe how the 95-year-old company is re-engineering its Tastykake brand from the inside out, from developing new supply chains and technology to attracting experienced leadership to its board.

Cost is $50 for members, $100 for nonmembers.
