State police are looking for a missing 16-year-old Holtwood girl.

Milady Yamilett Colon, a sophomore at Penn Manor High School, was last seen at her home at 757 Drytown Road shortly before 6 a.m. Tuesday, according to her mother.

"She said, 'I love you, Mom. I'll see you this afternoon,'" Blanca Feliciano said.

Feliciano, a school bus driver, then went to work.

Colon was supposed to get on a school bus at 6:25 a.m. but apparently did not, her mother said.

Feliciano said that a Penn Manor official called her at 10:30 a.m. and said that her daughter wasn't in school.

She worries that something might have happened to her daughter.

Colon was last seen wearing a red "hoodie," possibly blue skinny jeans and red-and-white Jordan sneakers. She was carrying a white Dickies backpack with stars on it, police said.

She is about 5 feet 2 inches tall and has brown eyes and long curly black hair with short bangs.

Police ask anyone who might know her whereabouts to call 299-7650.
