If These Dresses Could Talk, a bridal and wedding consignment shop, opened last week at 52 S. Market St. in Elizabethtown.
The roughly 500-square-foot shop sells wedding gowns, veils, bridesmaid's dresses and other wedding accessories. It also carries prom and homecoming dresses.
The owner is Sherri Lizotte. The new shop is in space formerly occupied by the Elizabethtown Chronicle, which closed earlier this year.
Hours: 1 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Green supply coming
Fresco Green Building Supplies plans to open a new store and showroom Nov. 1 at 1520 Commerce Drive. The store will feature environmentally friendly products, including lumber, recycled drywall, insulation, clay wall treatments and concrete countertops.
More than half of the roughly 4,200-square-foot green building center will be dedicated to the showroom, with a smaller room set aside for technical education. In addition to materials, the company will offer services, advice and equipment for contractors and do-it-yourselfers.
Richard Frescatore, the company's president, did not estimate the cost of the renovation project.
Expected store hours: 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday.
Peachy on Prince
Peachy Green, a clothing store that specializes in natural fiber items, opened about a month ago at 56 N. Prince St. after a move from the Shops at Hager, where it opened in November 2007. Owner Rachelle Phillips said she was looking for a more-visible location.
The small store specializes in organic and natural fiber apparel, gifts and accessories, emphasizing fair trade and sustainability.
Hours: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.
New salon
Identity Hair Salon opened last month at 221c Rohrerstown Road. The 1,300-square-foot salon has seven styling stations and specializes in coloring as well as treatments to smooth and relax hair. The owner is Thomas Raupers.
Hours: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, by appointment Saturday.
