Graffiti was spray painted throughout Linear Park, 37 E. Fulton St., Ephrata, and on a private shed adjacent to the park, overnight Friday, police said. The graffiti is not gang-related according to police. Police did not estimate the cost of cleanup.
•A rock was thrown through the window of a home in the first block of Boxwood Boulevard, Rapho Township, Friday, just before 11:30 p.m., state police at Ephrata said.
•Three mailboxes in the 800 block of Rife Run Road in Rapho Township were smashed Thursday between 7:30 p.m. and 10:15 p.m., state police at Ephrata said.
•Sometime beteen 2:30 p.m. Thursday and 4 p.m. Friday, rocks were thrown at a vehicle parked in the 100 block of North Concord Street causing minor damage to the hood, police said.
ACCIDENTS: Eugene P. DeHaven, 48, Narvon, was heading south on Fairview Road, Strasburg Township, when he failed to stop for a stop sign at Fairview Road and Route 896 at 12:09 a.m. Saturday. Police said he attempted to make a left turn at a high rate of speed and lost control, hitting an embankment. DeHaven was charged with a stop sign/yield violation, police said.
•West Hempfield Township police reported a two-vehicle crash that happened Friday morning in the 3900 block of Columbia Avenue.
Police said that Donald P. Detter, 79, Lancaster, was westbound at 8:48 a.m. when Tuven Nguyen, 56, Mountville, was making a left turn onto Columbia Avenue from the parking lot of the Kmart. Nguyen pulled into Detter's path, causing a crash, police said.
A passenger in the Detter vehicle was taken to Lancaster General Hospital. Nguyen was cited for an entering or crossing a roadway violation, police said.
•State police at Ephrata reported a three-vehicle crash in which a car hit a vacant house Wednesday.
The crash happened at 5:14 p.m. on Route 772, near Esbenshade Road.
Police said a car driven by Andrew D. Hess, 45, Manheim, was heading east on Route 772 when he traveled across the center line of the road and sideswiped the trailer of a vehicle driven by McKeaver A. Zink, 37, Marietta. The Hess vehicle then struck the front left bumper of a car driven by Jeremiah D. Speraw, 22, Lebanon. This caused Speraw's car to travel off the roadway and hit the house in the 2000 block of Mount Joy Road, police said.
DUI: Nang Hoa Hoang, 34, Lancaster, was charged with driving under the influence at 2:03 a.m. Saturday, at Walnut Street and McCaskey Avenue, state police at Lancaster reported.
•Henry S. Hart, 39, Lancaster, was arrested for driving under the influence following a traffic stop on Donnerville Road near Columbia Avenue at 2:03 a.m. Tuesday, Manor Township police said.
A passenger in the vehicle, Vena M. Miller, 38, Lancaster, was arrested on an outstanding bench warrant. There were also two open containers of alcohol in the vehicle, police said.
•Ruth Marrero, 34, Lancaster, will be charged with driving while intoxicated, East Lampeter Township police said. Marrero was stopped in the 2200 block of Old Philadelphia Pike for erratic driving Saturday at 2:02 a.m.; a subsequent a blood alcohol test registered .15, police said.
PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS: Tori L. Giesler, 28, and Amy J. Stoltzfus, 29, both of Lancaster, were arrested for public drunkenness after police saw them staggering in the street in the 100 block of East Chestnut Street just before midnight Friday, police said.
•Brian Costigan, 39, Lancaster, was arrested for public drunkennes in the 400 block of East Orange Street at 10:26 a.m. Friday, after he was found sleeping on the ground, police said.
•Zabrina V. Stewart, 34, Lancaster, was arrested for public drunkenness and disorderly conduct following a disturbance in the 500 block of Beaver Street at 6:22 p.m. Friday, police said. Stewart was intoxicated and repeatedly yelled profanities at police, police said.
CAR STOLEN: A bright red 2005 Hyundai Santa Fe SUV, license number ERV0166, with a Potter County plate on the front, was reported stolen Wednesday at 9:05 p.m., state police at Ephrata reported.
Police said keys were left in a cup holder and that the vehicle was parked in a garage in the 1400 block of Morgantown Road, Caernarvon Township, when it was taken. The garage door was open and the owner, who was inside the house, heard the vehicle start. He ran outside and saw a white male, wearing a white T-shirt, backing out of the driveway. The vehicle headed north toward Morgantown, police said.

BURGLARY: A house in the 300 block of Hand Avenue was broken into sometime between 10 p.m. Thursday and 11:15 a.m. Friday, police said. Items stolen include: a 37-inch television, a window air conditioner and hair clippers.
RETAIL THEFT: State police at Ephrata reported two thefts committed by a Landisville man at area supermarkets Thursday.
Police said William H. Gearhart, 52, failed to pay for $47.30 worth of groceries from Weis Market, 441 W. Main St., Mount Joy, at 8:25 a.m. Gearhart then failed to pay for $51.28 worth of groceries from the Darrenkamp's store at 945 E. Main St., Mount Joy, at 9:30 a.m.
Police said charges will be filed against Gearhart for retail theft.
•A 16-year-old Harrisburg girl was charged with retail theft Friday at 3:20 p.m. after she tried to take $64 worth of clothing from the Burlington Coat Factory, 2090 Lincoln Highway East, East Lampeter Township police said.
WARRANT: Jeffrey L. Green, 29, Lancaster, was arrested on a bench warrant in the 400 block of New Holland Avenue at 1:10 a.m. Saturday after being involved in a fight, police said.
