Mork and Mindy are a sweet and playful pair of kittens ready to land in your home and heart. They were found wandering the streets of Paradise, and both quickly adapted to living indoors at the shelter.
It has been four months of mischief and fun as they recovered from a cold and waited to find the right people to make them their own. Six months old, they are spayed and neutered and have trimmed nails. Because Mork and Mindy love one another so much, the shelter is waiving the second adoption fee to encourage their adoption as a pair.
Pets of the Week: Mork and Mindy
Mork and Mindy are available for adoption at the Humane League of Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Highway East. Many of our available animals can also be seen online at humaneleague.com/home.htm.
Shelter hours are noon-6 p.m. Monday; noon-7 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday; noon-5 p.m. Friday; and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The shelter is closed Wednesday.
Sept. 14-21, the league received 199 cats and 66 dogs. Twenty-two dogs and 62 cats were adopted; eight stray dogs were reclaimed by their owners. Ten cats and 34 dogs were transferred to other rescue organizations. Claude, last week's featured canine, is still waiting to be adopted.
Summer is usually our busiest season for incoming cats and kittens, and while fall is in the air, the flow of felines has not yet slowed. Our goal is to find as many homes as possible for these cats.
To encourage adoption, we're offering our complete cat adoption packages at half-price.
