Search-and-rescue crews were looking Monday night for a 2-year-old boy who was reported missing shortly after dusk in West Lampeter Township.

At press time, firefighters from several departments, along with a K-9 team, were searching an area on Spring Hollow Road, between Wheatland School Road and Strasburg Pike.

Water rescue teams from Lancaster Township and Paradise/Leaman Place fire companies were dispatched to the search area, which consists mostly of farms and is bordered by Pequea Creek.

No other information about the search effort was available at press time.
