A Gordonville woman was arrested Friday and charged with harassing a victim in a sex-assault case.

State police charged Barbara Stoltzfus, 69, with intimidation of witnesses or victims — a felony — and harassment.

According to police, David D. Stoltzfus, of Narvon, to whom Barbara Stoltzfus is related, is awaiting trial for the alleged sexual assault of an 18-year-old woman. Police didn't say how Barbara and David are related.

David Stoltzfus and his family, including Barbara, were advised several times by state police, county prosecutors and District Judge Isaac Stoltzfus not to have any contact with the alleged victim in the sex-assault case, state police said. The alleged victim reported to police that Barbara Stoltzfus went to the victim's workplace on Sept. 17 and "harassed the victim in person about the case," according to a police news release.

The trooper investigating the case was not available Monday to provide further information on the alleged incident.

Barbara Stoltzfus was arraigned before District Judge Stoltzfus on Friday and released on $5,000 bail.
