Jonathan Groff here for 'Taking Woodstock' benefit

Broadway star and Ronks native Jonathan Groff will be returning to Lancaster Sunday afternoon for a special benefit and private showing of "Taking Woodstock," in which he makes his movie debut.

He will also return to Conestoga Valley Middle School that same evening for a meet and greet.

All proceeds from the day will go to the Conestoga Valley Education Foundation, which provides theater education grants for Conestoga Valley students.

The movie screening will be held at Penn Cinemas, 541 Airport Road, Lititz. Doors open at 12:30 p.m.

Guests will have the chance to meet Groff. Light refreshments will be available.

The movie will be shown at 1:30 p.m. and will be followed by a question and answer session with Groff.

"Taking Woodstock" is rated R for nudity, language and drug use and is not deemed suitable for children under 18.  

Tickets are $20. They are available tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Penn Cinemas, and, if any are left, Sunday beginning at noon

On Sunday evening, from 7 to 9 p.m., Groff will hold a meet and greet at  Conestoga Valley Middle School, where he had his first starring stage role, for a meet and greet. Tickets are $5 and will be sold at the door.

Tickets for the earlier screening will be good for the evening session as well.
