Lancaster Barnstormers' relief pitcher Jon Huber has been signed by the Atlanta Braves' organization, the Barnstormers announced Saturday.

Huber, 26, will be assigned to the Gwinett Braves of the Class AAA International League. He was 1-0 with a 3.63 earned-run average, 25 strikeouts and eight walks for the Barnstormers this season.

Huber spent most of the 2007 and '07 seasons with the Seattle Mariners, going 2-1 with a 2.57 ERA in 28 innings, all in relief.

The Braves scouted Huber Friday, when he was far from his best, yielding four hits and three runs in two-thirds of an inning of the Barnstormers' 6-4 loss to Camden.

The Barnstormers will immediately begin to search for another pitcher, Vice President for Player Development Keith Lupton said.
