An elderly Ronks couple were awakened early today by a robber who police said broke into their home and threatened them with a weapon.

The robber forced his way into the home in the 100 block of North Ronks Road about 2 a.m., East Lampeter Township police said.

The couple were not injured, police said, but the robber demanded that they give him all their money along with the keys to their sport utility vehicle.

The vehicle, a silver 2005 Ford, was found later in the morning parked in the 100 block of East Orange Street. Police did not release the amount of cash that was stolen.

Police ask anyone with information to contact Detective Michelle Velez at 291-4676.
