One of the Lancaster-Lebanon League's top quarterbacks has made his college decision.

Elizabethtown senior gunslinger Kyle McNeil, who finished 10th in the league in passing efficiency last fall while showing off his big arm and pocket poise, has committed to Robert Morris University near Pittsburgh.

The Colonials compete in the Northeast Conference, along with Albany, Monmouth, Sacred Heart, Central Connecticut State, Duquesne, Wagner and St. Francis (Pa.).

After splitting the QB duties in his junior season for E-town, McNeil took over full-time under center last fall, helping the Bears go 4-3 in Section 2 and 6-5 overall, after E-town fell to eventual champ Wilson in the first round of the District 3 Quad-A playoffs.

McNeil had a solid season for the Bears, completing 88-of-172 passes (51 percent) for 1,375 yards and 16 touchdowns against 10 picks. His QB rating of 137.4 was 10th-best in the L-L League, and he had a penchant for making big throws – often downfield – in the clutch.

Opposing coaches often raved about his pocket presence and throwing ability, and McNeil was one of the best long-distance passers in the L-L League last season.

He was tabbed an Honorable Mention Section 2 All-Star for his efforts, and will now join a Robert Morris team that went 4-3 in the Northeast Conference and 5-6 overall last season.

The Colonials are coached by former NFL coach Joe Walton.

McNeil, who also helped E-town's basketball team reach the L-L League final and the district and state playoffs this past winter, will play for the North team in the L-L League Tri-County All-Star football game on May 23 at 7 p.m. at Manheim Central.
