A woman was charged with making terroristic threats after she allegedly threatened to shoot her ex-boyfriend's new girlfriend in the head, police said.

According to a police affidavit, Nicole Lynn Hagelgans, 20, of Brownstown, drove to a Paradise home where she spoke with her ex-boyfriend just before 12:30 a.m. today.

Police said the home's occupants, the man and his new girlfriend, were both at home at the time.

The ex-boyfriend, William Spencer Bishop Jr., stepped outside to speak with Hagelgans after she knocked on the door.

The girlfriend told state Trooper Timothy Connolly she could hear Hagelgans' voice during the conversation, and, according to a police affidavit, she heard Hagelgans tell Bishop that her intent was to "blow your girlfriend's brains out."

Police said Bishop confirmed Hagelgans made that statement and  reported that she was making suspicious hand movements inside her black coat at the time of the conversation.

The girlfriend later told police that she opened the door, and Hagelgans  ran away from the building.

When Connolly arrived at the home in the 3000 block of Lincoln Highway to  investigate, he said Hagelgans was still nearby, inside a blue Ford Bronco.

Once Connolly identified Hagelgans through her driver's license, he looked through the truck's windows and saw two shotguns on the floor behind the driver's seat.

The trooper reported that he also found a loaded Smith and Wesson AirLite .38 caliber revolver in the truck's console.

Police could not confirm today if the weapons were registered to Hagelgans.

Hagelgans was charged with making terroristic threats and taken into custody. She was taken to the Lancaster City Police Department to await arraignment.
