The alleged sale of a drug rarely seen in Lancaster County has led to an arrest of a New Holland teenager, police said.

Jonathan Daniel Bucklin, 18, of the 300 block of Valley View Drive, was arrested Monday by Lancaster County Drug Task Force detectives for allegedly delivering six "Molly" pills.

A drug task force spokesman said a "Molly" is a new drug prevalent in the Midwest. It's manufactured and marketed to rave clubgoers.

According to police, Bucklin delivered two "Mollies" for $50 to an undercover detective in New Holland on Feb. 11.

Bucklin then met with the detective Monday in East Earl Township, delivering six "Mollies" for $160.

Bucklin was arraigned before District Judge Rodney Hartman and committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $150,000 bail.

"Molly," a methamphetamine, is an off-white powder generally packaged in a gelatin capsule, police said. It affects the respiratory system, increasing heart rate, blood pressure and body temperature.

A drug task force representative said the incident marks only the second time "Molly" has been found in the county.
