What a difference a few days can make.
Just four days ago, Lancaster County residents were shivering through high temperatures in the low 20s, with a stiff wind that made it feel as if it were below zero.
On Sunday, the mercury hit a high of 60 degrees here, according to Millersville University's Weather Center. That's just 7 degrees shy of the all-time record high of 67 set in 1965.
And National Weather Service forecaster Greg DeVoir said Sunday to keep those light jackets handy for the early part of the work week.
Mostly sunny skies are predicted for today, with the high temperature in the upper 40s.
On Tuesday, the mercury is expected to climb into the 50s, with clouds building through the day and a chance of rain by the afternoon.
The rain should taper off by Wednesday, when daytime highs once again could be pushing the 60-degree mark, DeVoir said.
"There's a cold front coming through Wednesday night and it should be fairly mild ahead of that front," he said.
Rain is predicted for Wednesday night into Thursday, when we should see a return to more seasonable temperatures.
