Passe, an antiques and collectibles shop, opened in mid-November at 307 N. Queen St. in what had been a barbershop.

The new store sells an array of items, with most pieces coming from the collection of store owner Jennifer Edgerton's parents. Among the varied offerings are old metal signs and gas cans as well as furniture, plates, cards and candles.

Hours: 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, noon to 4 p.m. Sunday.

More on Queen St.

Eggs-Actly Right Gifts, 346 N. Queen St., will close its shop this month and move to a space at Building Character, an architectural salvage shop at 342 N. Queen St. that offers space for artists.

Tom Babec, who owns Eggs-Actly with his wife, Sue, said the slowing economy forced him to close the shop, which sells hand-crafted and painted decorative eggs. Babec said his lease extends through January, but he will move sometime before the end of the month. Eggs-Actly Right Gifts opened three years ago.

Also, Lunar Child's, a New Age gift shop, closed its store at 354 N. Queen St. on Dec. 24, but will still sell items from its Web site, www.lunarchilds.com.

And a new art gallery, Your Art Gallery, has moved in at 336 N. Queen St., taking the place of the Dude Shop, a men's clothing boutique.

Coleman closing

Coleman Factory Outlet at Rockvale Outlets will close Jan. 25. The camping and outdoor gear retailer opened the store at Rockvale in October 1997.

A store employee said the local store was one of five outlets being closed by Coleman, which has 16 U.S. outlets.

New Turkey Hill

Turkey Hill Minit Markets is planning a new convenience store in Morgantown, nearly across the street from an existing store.

A Turkey Hill spokeswoman confirmed the plans but said the company is "still working through the details" of the store, including when it will be built.

The new store would be on property at the northeast corner of Routes 10 and 23, just west of the Berks County line. It is expected to replace the existing Turkey Hill convenience store at 2848 Main Street, which is one of the old barn-style stores.
