CV STUDENTS VOLUNTEER
Students in all grades of Conestoga Valley School District are donating their time and talent to benefit worthy causes this holiday season.
CV High School National Honor Society students recently raised money for the Make-A-Wish Foundation, through the Kids for Wish Kids program. In early December, the society sponsored an 11-year-old boy who wished for a ride in a NASCAR car, with a goal of raising $5,500. Last year, the school raised more than $10,000 and funded three wishes.
Students at CV Middle School will serve at Ephrata Manor Nursing Home on Monday, distributing gifts, socializing and singing with residents. The school's Student Council also collected food for the Lancaster County Council of Churches food bank, and the CV Technology Student Association donated $200 to the American Cancer Society for the holidays.
