Crystal Connelly will play a major role for Warwick High School's bowling team this season.

Warriors coach Andy Pannebecker said Connelly is one of the team's top bowlers, and perhaps its most consistent.

"She's always looking to do her best," Pannebecker said. "She's always looking out for her teammates and pumping up her teammates."

Connelly is one of two girls on the Warriors' varsity team.

She and the Warriors will start their Lancaster-Lebanon League season Monday against Elizabethtown at Clearview Lanes.

High scores: Single, 299, at Dutch Lanes; series, 696, which was bowled at my high school scrimmage last Monday.

No. of 300s: None yet but I hope to shoot one soon.

The person or persons who taught me the most about bowling: My dad, Eric, who has supported me 100 percent in all of my bowling; Neal and Laurie-Ann Stemplinger; my Aunt Shelly and Uncle Nate; and finally my late high school coach, Mike Clouser.

Types of bowling ball used: The Sauce by Hammer, Complete NV and Total NV by Ebonite, and the Twisted Fury by Brunswick.

Special honors, achievements in bowling: I won my first title at the opening PJBT this season. Won two titles at the city-county level for teams with my scratch team, Step-up, and my handicap team, U R What U Eat. I also made the girls' all snow-roller team last year and helped my team to a second-place finish. I am also the president of Youth Leaders, which is a group of kids that organize tournaments and help run them with the adults.

My interest in the sport began: With my cousin Cody's birthday party.

Favorite subjects in school: Anatomy and physiology and sciences.

Plans for future: I plan to go to medical school to become a nurse in pediatrics. And as for my bowling, I would like to bowl in college and maybe join the women's PBA.
