Firefighters awaited a tow truck at the scene of an accident Monday afternoon in East Earl Township after a car skidded under the front of a combine with an attached corn head on Ranck Road, just south of Reservoir Road.
The driver was extricated from the vehicle by units from Blue Ball and Liberty fire companies, New Holland ambulance and Medic 9 and was airlifted by Sky Flight Care to Lancaster General Hospital.
The operator of the combine was not injured, according to a firefighter on the scene.
Township police wouldn't release details of the accident Monday night.
