A Lititz man was charged with child endangerment Saturday by Ephrata police.
David Figueroa, 21, was sent to Lancaster County Prison on charges of endangering the welfare of a child and resisting arrest.
Figueroa left his 2-year-old child alone in an unlocked car for at least 20 minutes while he was in a bar in the first block of Orange Street Saturday at 1:45 a.m., police said. The child was not wearing shoes, socks or a jacket, according to police.
•Mario Cassanova-Lanzo, 32, of the 300 block of South Queen Street, was charged with disorderly conduct and two counts of leaving unattended children in a vehicle after a 10:27 a.m. Friday incident.
Police said they observed two children in a car; police were approached by Cassanova-Lanzo, who said the vehicle was his. After police requested identification, Cassanova-Lanzo fled on foot. He was arrested in the first block of Conestoga Street.
Arrested in the same incident was Santos Gonzalez-Perez, 24, of the first block of Conestoga Street. He was charged with one count of hindering apprehension.
CRASH: A vehicle driven by Maryanne L. Schneider, 44, Christiana, heading north on Creek Road, swerved to avoid a deer, slid 25 feet down an embankment and hit a tree, State Police at Lancaster said. Thecrash happened at 9:30 p.m. Monday.
ATTEMPTED BURGLARY: The rear patio door was cut at a home in the 5000 block of Strasburg Road, Salisbury Township, sometime between Oct. 31 and Friday, state police at Lancaster said. Anyone with information should call police at 299-7650.
DISORDERLY STUDENTS: A male student was cited for disorderly conduct at Pequea Valley High School, Leacock Township, following a 2:24 p.m. Friday disturbance in a classroom, according to state police at Lancaster.
•A 13-year-old Warwick Middle School male student was cited for disorderly conduct at 10:24 a.m. Thursday after using profanity in the classroom and threatening other students, Lititz police said.
DISORDERLY CONDUCT: Travis Basore, 18, Lancaster, was cited for disorderly conduct after he threw another tenant's belongings off a balcony in the Stonemill Station apartment complex, Manor Township police said. The incident happened at 11:30 p.m. Thursday.
•Dennis J. Echevarria-Cedeno, 18, of the first block of Green Street, was charged with disorderly conduct by city police after a 2:57 a.m. Saturday incident at that location.
A 13-year-old male juvenile was also charged with disorderly conduct. In the same incident, Carlos E. Colon-Ortiz, 18, was cited for public drunkenness, disorderly conduct and minor drinking, police said. Also cited for disorderly conduct was Juan A. Cruz, 21, police reported. All involved had Green Street addresses.
•Edward J. Gardner, 23, of the 700 block of North Duke Street, was cited with disorderly conduct at 4:05 a.m. Friday, city police said.
Also charged was Steven E. Adams, 24, of the 1300 block of Blue Jay Drive. City police said Adams was visibly intoxicated and smelled of alcohol. He was cited for public drunkenness and was found to have several summary warrants.
DUI: Ashley Lynn Moore, 22, Washington Boro, was arrested for driving under the influence after a vehicle crash at 1:12 a.m. Saturday, Manor Township police said.
Moore's vehicle traveled south on Route 441 when she crossed lanes, hit an embankment, turned over and hit a telephone pole, police said.
•Charles H. Hollinger III, 33, Lancaster, was arrested for DUI when he was found passed out in his vehicle in a parking lot at 5:14 a.m. Friday, Manor Township police said.
•Michael Weir, 22, Paradise, was arrested for DUI and leaving the scene of an accident involving damage to property at 4:05 a.m. Friday, New Holland police said.
Weir's vehicle hit a telephone pole at North Hollander and Zeltenreich roads, Earl Township, police said.
•Matthew D. Haldeman, age unknown, West Chester, was arrested for DUI after police stopped him on Route 372 at Quaker Church Road for erratic driving at 12:38 a.m. Saturday, State Police at Lancaster said.
•Nadeznda Tsivenko, 28, of the 100 block of North Groffdale Road, New Holland, was charged with driving while intoxicated Saturday, Warwick Township police said. Initially stopped in the 1400 block of Newport Road for erratic driving at 2 a.m., Tsivenko showed signs of inebriation, police said. She refused a blood alcohol test, police said.
PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS: Manor Township police were called to PNC Bank, 100 block of South Centerville Road, at 12:38 a.m. Thursday for a report of a male sleeping in the vestibule of the bank.
Police found Jason Malles, 27, asleep with a spilled beer beside him. Malles was cited for public drunkenness, police said.
•Matthew M. Wissler, 25, of the 300 block of Cardinal Road, Lititz, was cited for public drunkenness at 1:52 a.m. Friday after city police said he was under the influence and had been involved in a fight. Wissler was also cited for criminal mischief. The incident happened in the 400 block of North Queen Street.
•Erika P. Oostdam, 41, of the 200 block of North Shippen Street, was arrested for public drunkenness at 9:51 p.m. Friday after a domestic disturbance, city police reported.
SNATCHED: A woman reported to city police at 4:19 a.m. Friday that an 18-year-old male approached her from behind in the 1200 block of Union Street and took her purse, containing about $965 in cash, along with with keys and identification cards, police said.
TERRORISTIC THREATS: Edwin DeJesus, 40, of the 800 block of North Plum Street, was charged with making terroristic threats at 9:37 p.m. Friday in the 300 block of West Walnut Street after causing a disturbance and threatening to kill his wife, from whom he is separated, city police said.
THEFTS FROM VEHICLES: A detachable Kenwood car stereo was taken from an unlocked vehicle about 3 p.m. Friday, State Police at Lancaster said. Anyone with information should call police at 299-7650.
•An iPhone charger and Armani sunglasses with case were taken from an unlocked vehicle in the first block of Oak Ridge Drive, East Drumore Township, overnight Oct. 29, state police at Lancaster said.
•About $500 worth of equipment, including a radar detector and an in-dash AM-FM compact disc radio, was taken from a vehicle in the 200 block of East Chestnut Street, city police said. The theft was reported at 4:46 a.m. Friday.
WARRANTS: Darrin J. Edmond, 35, of the 500 block of West James Street, was arrested by city police at 1:36 a.m. Friday in the 1500 block of Manheim Pike by Manheim Township police. He was then taken to the city police station. City police said Edmond had 12 summary warrants.
•Joseph J. Maldonado, 26, of the 500 block of North Street, was charged with having summary warrants at 8:42 p.m. Friday, city police said.
