Rita's in Park City is owned by Ben and Lori Smith of Lancaster. The couple owns three area Subway's and was looking for an additional business. They knew several Rita's franchisees and heard good things about the company.
"Rita's is a great product, and I'm happy to be able to bring it to even more people in Lancaster," Ben Smith said. "Now people in the Lancaster area will be able to enjoy Rita's products all year round."
Rita's at the Park City Center Mall is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Sunday hours are noon. to 6 p.m.
Rita's is the nation's largest Italian ice chain with more than 360 locations operating throughout the East Coast and as far west as Ohio.
