A late Friday evening shooting in the southeast section of Lancaster left one man wounded and neighbors rattled.
Police were dispatched to the 500 block of Juniata Street at 7:15 p.m. on a report of shots fired.
When officers arrived at the scene they found one male lying in the street suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, Lancaster Police Sgt. Jarrad Berkihiser said.
Police said the victim was conscious when emergency crews responded to the shooting scene.
He was taken to a local hospital. His condition was not known as of Friday night.
Neighbors stood huddled on porches as police scoured the street for clues. A car on the block appeared to have bullet holes in its side.
Police did not give a description of the shooter or shooters involved in the incident.
"Right now we're trying to canvass for witnesses, but we're getting little cooperation," Berkihiser said.
