The Point: MyTwoCents gives teens too young to vote the chance to sound off on hot political topics — and have their voices heard by the candidates.
Breaking It Down:
Makes the Grade: A+
Genre: Political/opinion
Entertainment Factor: This Web site is hands-down the most entertaining yet to grace the Net. Its scrapbook-style art and constantly mobile graphics outdo most actual entertainment sites. Take a quick glance because the screen instantly evaporates to reveal directions on how to "give your two cents." Just click, drag and type your basic personal information into the "your voice" profile.
Easy Street?: While MyTwoCents is artistic in design and clever in theme, there is no way to backpedal your way through the online maze.
Whatever you do, do not hit that back button! That is, unless you want to end up all the way back in your Internet browser. You don't; this site is just too compelling to leave.
Hot or Not: If it had a downside, this site's flaw would be its requirement to list religion and political affiliation (or lack thereof) in order to submit your "two cents." But this aside, MyTwoCents is probably the best tool for encouraging non-voting age activists to speak up. For offering a hot forum for hot issues during what may just be the hottest election of our time, MyTwoCents is quite a cool site — and, of course, pretty hot.
