The weekend death of a 17-year-old Lititz girl is under investigation, county officials said Wednesday.

Police and medics were dispatched Sunday morning to a home on Front Street in Lititz for a reported unconscious person.

Shortly after, Lancaster County Deputy Coroner Kelly Lingg was dispatched to the home and pronounced the girl dead. Lititz Borough police and Warwick Township police are investigating the death.

Lancaster County Coroner Dr. Stephen Diamantoni said Wednesday the girl's autopsy didn't reveal a cause or manner of death. Diamantoni said he was waiting on toxicology test results. Those tests determine if any toxins, including alcohol or drugs, were in a person's system when he or she died. The results are expected in two to three weeks, the coroner said.

"We are waiting on toxicology to provide additional information to make an accurate determination of cause of death," Diamantoni said.

The coroner wouldn't discuss any specifics about the autopsy, including if there were signs of physical injury. He did say the girl died Sunday morning. Her body has since been released to a local funeral home.
