Police around Lancaster County this weekend charged the following six people with suspected driving under the influence.
• Tiffany L. Schmeck, 27, Blue Ball, arrested for suspected drunken driving after state police said she flipped her car and landed in a Brecknock Township creek late Sunday night.
Schmeck, who escaped with minor injuries, apparently lost control of the car she was driving on Muddy Creek Road around 10:30 p.m., went off the road near Fivepointville Road, flipped her vehicle and landed in the creek, according to Trooper James Algeo.
• Eric David Bemesderfer, 22, Ronks, arrested for suspected drunken driving after state police stopped his vehicle around 2:30 a.m. on Sunday on Route 340 at Greenfield Road in East Lampeter Township.
• Tim Joseph Shank, 32, of Quarryville, arrested for suspected drunken driving after state police said he was stopped around 12:30 a.m. Sunday on Vintage Road, south of Route 30, in Paradise Township.
• Lorraine Ann Leeper, 54, Kinzers, arrested for suspected drunken driving after state police said she was stopped around 2 a.m. Sunday on Route 30, west of Ronks Road, in East Lampeter Township.
• Wieslaw Ruszczyk, 48, 2262 Coventry Road, arrested for suspected drunken driving after Manheim Township police said he crashed into a mailbox and a utility pole shortly before noon Friday in the 400 block of Candlewyck Road.
• Terri R. Ackley, 48, of 2151 Lincoln Highway East, arrested early Sunday morning for suspected drunken driving after East Lampeter Township Police said she was stopped while driving on Route 30, between Route 340 and Greenfield Road. Her blood alcohol level was 0.11 percent, police said.
