More than 100 people were evacuated from a Mountville hotel Monday morning after a bomb threat was called in to a desk clerk, police said.
Police and K-9 units from two local agencies searched the 80 rooms inside Sleep Inn, 310 Primrose Lane, after the threat was called in about 8:45 a.m., investigators said.
West Hempfield and Manor township police evacuated about 100 guests and 14 employees after the unknown caller claimed a bomb was inside the hotel.
A sweep of the building's three floors yielded no signs of a bomb, so people were allowed back inside about 10:45 a.m, investigators said.
West Hempfield police are investigating. Anyone with information about the threat is asked to contact police at 285-5191.
Bomb-sniffing dogs from Pennsylvania State Police and the Lancaster County sheriff's office helped in the sweep.
